It seems that people are still speeding through the village! How many times to we have to ask people not to do this? There’s always activity in Fore Street with locals walking, cycling even riding horses. Recently and very sadly two pets cats have been killed by speeding motorists, causing great distress to their families.
Last Sunday was Palm Sunday and the congregation of St Andrews Church held a parade through the village, complete with a beautiful donkey to represent our Lord’s entry into Jerusalem. It’s Palm Sunday this Sunday and there will be a parade through Fore Street starting at 10.30am outside the Fishermans Rest and there will be a lovely donkey joining the congregation on its journey up to church! AVIAN INFLUENZA information – if you find any dead birds in the estuary or Tidal Road On Monday a dead young male swan was found on the estuary with no signs of injury or obvious cause of death. There is still a national outbreak of Avian flu, so maybe that was the cause here. Defra
