The AG playpark committee is trying to raise funds for the next stage of the new playground and has set up a Just Giving page on Facebook – with the current restrictions it is very hard to fundraise so they have gone virtual instead. Maybe you have family and friends who would be willing to put a donation towards it, or perhaps you are a visitor to our area, but like what you see, and would also help us to achieve our goal? All donations will be gratefully received, thank you all very much for supporting us
The committee has also set up an AG Playpark Facebook group which will keep you up to date with the progress of our play park – if you’re a Facebook user, “like” to follow progress, and please share this information to help get donations!
The new play area is being developed in several stages, to replace the old equipment which had deteriorated too much to be economically repaired; the £1000’s needed to keep it in a safe condition to pass the annual safety and insurance inspections for the next few years is better spent on installing the new climbing tower. This is made of a specially treated wood, so that it will look in keeping with the surrounding area, but has a guarantee of 20 years, comparable with most other outdoor play equipment.
