Aveton Gifford is incredibly fortunate to have a community swimming pool—something most small communities don’t have. Both the local community and school benefit, with pupils exceeding curriculum swimming requirements thanks to an accessible pool on their grounds, eliminating the need for transport elsewhere.
The Parish Council operates the pool and aims to keep it self-funded through grants, donations, and memberships. However, rising costs—both operational and staffing—are making this increasingly challenging.
