All parish councils throughout England are required by law to hold an Annual Parish Meeting. The purpose of calling this meeting is so that the Council can explain what it has been doing over the last year and it enables the electors to have their say on anything which they consider is important to the people of the parish. All parishioners are invited to attend, and it’s your chance to find out what’s happening here in this parish.
This year’s meeting will be held in the Village Hall on Monday 13th May at 7.30pm. All village organisations are invited to present a report on their activities over the year.
This is your organisation’s opportunity to blow your own trumpet. The Annual Parish Meeting is the occasion when we can all hear about the various activities, clubs and organisations that take place in the village. The report can be quite short and delivered verbally in person or (if you cannot get to the meeting) on paper or by e-mail, in which case it will be read to the meeting on your behalf.
Please let me know if you will be coming and presenting a report – email@example.com
Light refreshments will be served after the meeting and will include wine, soft drinks, tea or coffee and snacks.
