The annual Christmas light-up will be on December 1st this year.
If you want to join the carol singers who walk down Fore St, they will meet outside the hall at 6.00 pm, and make their way down to the pub. (If you have children who are taking part in the craft workshop in the hall, that has been timed to end so that families can then join the carol singers and get to the Fisherman’s Rest for Lighting Up Time.)
There will be a short blessing by the Christmas tree, then the lights will be switched on! (Approx 6. 20 – 6.30, but it depends how many carols the singers sing on the way down Fore St.)
And after that Athenia and Mark cordially invite everyone into the pub for mulled wine and mince pies, with a short seasonal entertainment kindly organised by Penny Schroeter and Maggie Skeates.
