A new booklet has been published by Pat Doughty with help from many of her friends. It is a complete collection of all of the articles that Ken wrote about the parish and life here, past and present, and for anyone wanting to know a little bit more about Aveton Gifford, it’s a very interesting mixture of facts and true stories.

It’s being sold for £7.00, and it’s a fundraiser in aid of planting a hedgeline along the newly created Devon bank which surrounds the new extension to the churchyard up at St Andrews. That’s a project that Ken would have been really keen to support with his keen interest in our local countryside and all its wildlife, and those of us who knew him can see that the beautiful photo on the covers of this booklet is particularly appropriate.
Caroline Barker (Stonecot) and Ros Brousson (Avon Valley Cottages) both have copies for sale.
