Another date for your diary. This year the lights on the Christmas tree will be switched on at the Fisherman’s Rest on Saturday November 30th followed by entertainment from the Taverners and the “Uke n sing”. The schedule for the evening is as follows:
- 6.00 pm – Meet at the village hall; there will be a procession of carol singers to accompany the rector down to the Fisherman’s Rest.
- 6.10 pm – The Christmas Tree lights will be switched on, followed by carol singing round the tree
The evening’s entertainment will continue in the pub where Athenia will have her mulled wine, mulled punch and mince pies for those who wish to stay on for the Taverners’ Christmas revue and the “Uke n sing” ukulele group.
(In past years people have helped Athenia by contributing mince pies, and she would be very grateful if they could drop them off earlier in the day.)
