Unfortunately today (21st), a delivery of paint (£90 – several tins) was made to the porch of Glen Avon in Fore Street, but before it could be taken in, someone passing had helped themselves to it. Did anyone see who might have taken it? A white van with a woman driver was seen just outside at the time, does that jog anyone’s memory?
Unfortunately, with so much online shopping now, and often doorstep deliveries with no definite time-slot, these sorts of thefts are becoming more frequent. We’re all going to have to be more aware when we order expensive goods that we need to have them delivered to a safe place – no longer can anyone assume that our open gardens and doorways are the safe place we’d like them to be.
