Aveton Gifford Parish Project Group
is pleased to be hosting a fund-raising talk by
Tony Porter
Tony will be talking about his new book “Whatever Next?” This is a wonderful opportunity to meet this popular local author, and to hear about his fascinating life, including his restoration of Burgh Island Hotel. Both of Tony’s books will be available for sale as well, and he has also offered to sign copies for our audience on the night. The Project Group would like to invite you to join us on
Friday, 6th May at 7.00 pm
Aveton Gifford village hall
Entrance – £5.00 on the door, to include a glass of wine or tea/coffee, and light refreshments will be available.
All funds raised will be used by the Project Group to support parish and community causes, one of the primary aims of the group.
Aveton Gifford Parish Project Group came into being in 1991, and for the last 25 years has made a significant contribution to many aspects of the parish, and financial donations to numerous community projects. In recent years these have included several donations to both of our community shops, also The Hive playschool, the Church, the Primary School and for a community defibrillator. We have produced and paid for all the parish footpath guides and maps, and have also helped to fund various improvements around the village including shrubs to be planted in the Rectory Lawn garden, and a new parish noticeboard.
