Bus Services

Stagecoach South West operates the service between Plymouth, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth – route no 3

There are 2 bus stops in the village – one at the top end of Fore Street at the bottom of Church Lane and one half way down Fore Street at the bottom of Rock Hill.

Timetable booklets (free) are available from the village shop,

The Plymouth – Kingsbridge and Kingsbridge – Plymouth timetable can be downloaded here

Bus timetables are also posted up by the two bus stops.

There is also a route planner and timetable, and online ticket service for Stagecoach UK Bus found by following this link;   https://www.stagecoachbus.com/Default.aspx

In order to prevent traffic congestion in the village the bus company operates a ONE WAY SYSTEM through the village, and ALL buses ENTER the village from the top of the bypass (A379) and EXIT at the roundabout by the pub. So TAKE CARE! – the time tabling for each bus journey means that buses from either direction can be in the village at a similar time;  when catching your bus make sure that it is going to the right destination!

When using this time table visitors also need to be aware that there is no service on a Sunday during the winter, but there is a limited Sunday bus service for summer months.
