Planning for the future development of Aveton Gifford for the next 15 years

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

We are creating a Neighbourhood Plan for Aveton Gifford, to be used by District Council Planners to help make important decisions within our area for the next 15 years.

We need YOUR views and input on any topic that you would like to see included.

Examples could include future housing, sheltered housing, listed buildings, transport, roads, car-parking, broadband, employment, school provision and sustainability, plus anything else that you think is relevant to the future development of this parish.

When the plan is made it has to reflect the views of the community. There will be a referendum to approve the final plan by all registered voters in the parish. Without our own Neighbourhood Plan, this parish will have NO SAY in how the parish is developed.

At 11am a member of the AG plan group will give an introductory talk to explain why we need a Neighbourhood Plan and its purpose and objectives. Please make every effort to come along to make your views known, or to comment on the views of others. If you can’t make it to the talk, you are still welcome any time between 11 and 4pm – members of the group will be available to give more information.

The Neighbourhood Plan group needs a few more people to volunteer their time – especially anyone from the younger section of the community!

You can email members of the group at [email protected] for more information. News updates on the progress of the Neighbourhood Plan can be seen on the Parish Council page of the village website.
