Neighbourhood Plan Vote – 6th May

The completed Neighbourhood Plan has been waiting since last spring for your vote, delayed by Covid, but now restrictions allow this vote to take place.

On the 6th along with local elections, you will also be voting for this Parish’s NP in a referendum organised by the Election Office of SHDC.

The Plan, already being referred to by SHDC in planning decisions, was written by a group of volunteer parishioners and parish councillors, using input from parishioners in the many consultations held over the last 5-6 years.

It allows for three small developments in the village with 7 to 10 mixed size houses in each, a new car park in the field opposite the Rectory gate to help with village parking problems, and a change to the village development boundary.

Without this vote for the Plan, this community has no say in any future planning applications for development.

To learn more you can find the Plan on the Village Community Website.

Your Parish Council urges you to have your say on our Neighbourhood Plan.
