Next council meeting – the Annual Parish Meeting, on Monday, 9th May

All parish councils throughout England are required by law to hold an annual parish meeting. The purpose of calling this meeting is so that the Council can explain what it has been doing over the last year and it enables the electors to have their say on anything which they consider is important to the people of Aveton Gifford parish.

This year’s meeting will be held in the village hall on MONDAY 9th MAY at 7.30pm. All parish organisations are invited to present a report on their activities over the year.

This is your organisation’s opportunity to blow your own trumpet – the Annual Parish Meeting is the occasion when we can all hear about the various activities, clubs and organisations that take place in the village. The report can be quite short and delivered verbally in person or (if you cannot get to the meeting) on paper or by e-mail, in which case it will be read to the meeting on your behalf.
