ELECTIONS IN MAY
We are due to have local elections this May which will involve our parish council this year. There will be some vacancies this time, so maybe there are some of you who would like to put your names forward. You will be eligible to join the council if;
– you are an elector of the parish
– during the whole of the last 12 months you have occupied, either as owner or tenant, land or other premises in the parish.
– your principal or only place of work is in the parish
– you live within 4.8 kilometres (3 miles) of the parish boundary.
You will need to put your name forward by April if you are interested so that all the official paperwork gets done.
