It’s been so wet that the ground has become too churned up on the Rectory Lawn for cars to use this as a place to park, and last week one car did become stuck there trying to get out. The parish council has reluctantly taken the decision to close it for the time being, although it’s hoped that this spell of awful weather will end soon, and if the ground dries out enough, it can be opened again. (SWW work here will continue for another few weeks at least, although they are getting on well with everything that they have to do to make our sewage system fit for purpose and leak-free once again. Unfortunately this means that the Jubilee St car park will be out of use for a while longer.)
