This is a date for your calendars for those of you who would be interested in going round the reserve on the marsh to see how it has developed since it was set up two years ago. Devon Wildlife Trust will be holding an Open Day on Saturday 25th January, and would like to extend the invitation to local residents whether they are DWT members or not. The day will consist of accompanied walks around the whole site, and will include a look at the tidal gate which regulates the flow of water into the marsh. There will be a number of ecologists there for anyone who would is interested in the development of the saltmarsh, and Rod Bone and Eric Wotton will be there to tell us about the birds to be found there now.
There will be about six walks throughout the day, and these tend to take about an hour and a half. Tea, coffee and hot soup will be available as well to take the chill off a January day. Â If you are interested put the date in your diary, and there will be further information about the times of the walks and how to book nearer the time.
