Pittens Walk, Jubilee St car park, the playparks and village green, Timbers car parks and the leat foreshore are all now back in parish ownership. In 2010 John Coates first approached SHDC to see if we could get these areas of the village back – in particular the car parks which were repeatedly threatened with parking meters. It’s taken 7 years, but we’ve finally got them back again!
