Village Voice by Rosie Warrillow, 3rd January 2020

Happy New Year to everyone, I hope the festive season was very enjoyable for everyone.

The Parish Council is still trying to contact the owner of an old trailer left in the Jubilee Car park. The trailer is rather old and has been left for quite some time, if anyone knows who it belongs to please inform the parish clerk, so that it can be removed. Thanks to everyone who has helped to identify the other trailers left in the area, much appreciated.

The Tidal Road clear up will be held on Sunday January 12th when the tide will be suitable. The aim is to remove plastic waste, paper, old carpets and remains of old boats and anything that really shouldn’t be down there. Any one can join in, you don’t have to be an ACA member. Please make sure youngsters are accompanied. Bringing a stout pair of gloves and a plastic bag for the rubbish are a must. The event starts at 11.30am at Timbers car park and lasts for about an hour, with the willing volunteers adjourning to the Fishermans afterwards,  why not come and help keep our river beautiful?
