The Devon Community Action for Wildlife conference is taking place on July 6th in Chagford, and as many representatives from the parishes as possible are being asked to attend. There are only a few spaces left and it would be nice to see us represented there. The  aim of the conference is to enthuse action for wildlife. Please see the website naturaldevon.org.uk/2019-community-action-for wildlife ,To book a space please email    [email protected] This promises to be a very interetisng day with many wide ranging topics covered. We can all make a space for wildlife in our gardens, putting out food for hedgehogs, placing bird nest boxes, make a bug house, there are loads of ways in which we can help each day.   As a footnote, our Avon Estuary is one of 41 newly created marine conservation areas, good news indeed for our river, we always knew it was special!
