The Taverners Amateur Drama Group is performing a specially written version of the traditional story of Aladdin. Tickets for the performances during February Half Term 2014, are now on sale in the Village Shop – adults £6, with concessions for school children at £4.
The Village Hall will be transformed with the building of a stage; the installing of Widow Twanky’s laundry; the topping out of the Emperor’s palace; the deepest, darkest cave in which the Genie sleeps; plus plenty of surprises. There are plenty of familiar faces playing their part in all the drama and laughter that goes along with a traditional pantomime.
Evening performances will start at 7.30pm on Thursday 20th, Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd February; an afternoon matinee performance will take place on Saturday 22nd commencing at 2.30pm.
Rehearsals have been held in the Fisherman’s Rest, so grateful thanks go to Mark and Athenia Capewell. Oh yes they do.
