Lets start this week with some delicious news from the village hall! Tomorrow is Soup and Puds Day and our intrepid band of cooks will once again be testing their culinary skills and creating several varieties of these delicious items to satisfy the taste buds. There will be home made soups and also a selection of gorgeous home-made sweets, yum yum! All these wonderful treats for only £5 per head, can’t be bad! The event starts at 12.30pm-2pm. Please come and support this event, the proceeds from which go to help with the upkeep of our  hall.
That special day for all you old romantics is also nearly here and what better way to celebrate St Valentines Day,than to take your loved one down to the Fisherman’s for that special meal. Its best to book to avoid disappointment, there is a special menu available with 2 or 3 courses,just phone the Fisherman’s on 550284 for more details.
This year Easter is quite early and St Andrews will have a Lent Course based on the Psalms. The course will be led by our new Vicar Rev Matthew Rowland and will take place in church on Tueday evenings starting on February 20th. The course will be run over the 5 weeks leading up to Easter and will start at 7.30pm-8.30pm. This course will be an interesting exploration of the Psalms, how they were written and why, and refreshments will be served during the evening.There will be another opportunity to study the course at the Vicarage in Modbury on Tuesday afternoons starting on February 22nd. 2.30pm-3,30pm There are limited spaces available so contact the Vicar on matt.rowland@modburyteam.org to book a place.
Our shop has a range of Valentines Day goodies to offer for the special day: Kerryn at Bunns and Crumbs is creating some heart shaped tartlets and the shop has a selection of chocolates,wines and wrapping paper and cards, all you need to make the day special.Items may be pre-ordered from the shop to avoid disappointment.
