Its good news we have this week to start with- our junior play park is now open for the serious business of having a good time and playing with your mates, social distancing does of course apply. The senior play area for the older children is still closed, not due to the virus but due to the poor state of the equipment. There is a group of parents who are directing enquires to replace the faulty climbing equipment and approaches have been made to other local organisations in our parish as well as further afield. Watch this space for future developments.  Â
Worship has not taken place yet in St Andrews, the PCC has to abide by the rules and needs to hold a risk assessment, to take into account all the planning necessary before services can resume. Looking forward to the church being ready to welcome the faithful soon.                                    Â
We also have a road closure to report, the road beyond Church Lane will be closed for up to three weeks due to repair work on the water main. The houses along the route may suffer some interruption in supply but should receive covering letters to say when from SWW. Also, Sww staff will be visiting householders, so be on the lookout for them and remember that they all carry ID cards, be aware of any bogus callers, and ask to see their ID. Any queries please phone the helpline on 0344 3462020 for further enquiries,.                                                                                                                                     Â
The Fishermans Rest is also now open for business, and Mark and Athenia wish to thank people for keeping them going by supporting the take away service, please phone them for further opening details and for the take away.
Also we need to say a big thank you to all of our other buisneses that have served the community so well during the lockdown period.
