There will be no service this Sunday in the morning at St Andrews this week but there will be a Family Carol service at 4pm in the afternoon; everyone is welcome to come and join in. Lots of family favourites will be sung, and of course the all important readings from the Bible too. The church will also have a Christmas Eve Holy Communion on Christmas Eve starting at 9.30pm, again all are welcome to attend. On Christmas Morning there will be a Christamas Family Praise service starting at 10am, come and join in for some readings and family carols. The church will host a Team Service on Sunday January 1st at 10.30am.                                                                                                                                      Â
It seems that with these trying times seemingly getting worse, Kingsbridge Foodbank is calling for more volunteers to help out at the Foodbank building in Wallingford Road. Times are busy there, and help is needing in all sorts of different ways. The Fishermans Rest is having its usual all-you-can-eat Curry Night on Christamas Eve! There will be a choice of three curries and side dishes, booking is essential through the pub. The evening starts at 7pm-8.30pm for the food, then gloves are off for the quiz! There are still a few places left for Christmas Day lunch, !0 discount for children applies, arriving at 12 noon for a 12.30 start. The New Years Eve celebrations will feature the popular Raggle Taggle Band and there are still a few tickets left for that too. Also many congratulations to young Charlie for his abstinance from alcohol during October, he’s manged to raise £850 for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity, well done young man!
