It seems that with these trying times seemingly getting worse, Kingsbridge Foodbank is calling for more volunteers to help out at the Foodbank building in Wallingford Road. Times are busy there, and help is needing in all sorts of different ways. If you think you can help out this much needed Charity please contact them on or call in, I’m sure that you will be made most welcome!

The Fishermans Rest is having its usual all-you-can-eat Curry Night on Christamas Eve! There will be a choice of three curries and side dishes, booking is essential through the pub. The evening starts at 7pm-8.30pm for the food, then gloves are off for the quiz! There are still a few places left for Christmas Day lunch, !0 discount for children applies, arriving at 12 noon for a 12.30 start. The New Years Eve celebrations will feature the popular Raggle Taggle Band and there are still a few tickets left for that too. The pub has it’s own Facebook Page with further information for the events.. Also many congratulations to young Charlie for his abstinance from alcohol during October, he’s manged to raise £850 for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity, well done young man!

The village shop has a lovely range of Festive goods in stock so why not think twice before going to the Supoermarkets? The staff here are very helpful and will order items for you.
