Again contact the shop. Refreshments will be provided and the event will take place in the shop garden, weather permitting.

Busy Parish Councillor Peter Smith has been making tremendous efforts to ensure our that our swimming pool will be open in early May. He has been hard at work painting , mending, paving, and generally tidying up the whole area over the winter. Well done to him, and thank you from all our potential swimmers! Refresher courses on lifesaving will be available soon, a  must for key holders, watch this space for details. Also Bantham Swoosh has once again agreed to help the pool by allowing sponsored swimmers to raise money for it.Last year six swimmers raised  over £3,000 to help with the costs of running the pool.

There are now two vacancies on the Parish Council following the resignations of Ian Stainton and Pippa Unwin. Those interested should contact the Parish Clerk Peter Javes on peterjaves@btinternet.com for more details.

The Aveton Gifford History Group are putting on a display at the Cookworthy Museum in Kingsbridge, and they require some artifacts to display. Has anyone got either photos or perhaps a piece of shrapnel or anything that is linked to the damage that the village suffered during WW2? Maybe even some militaria , uniforms or medals presented to villagers? If so please contact either Pat Cassidy or Ros Brousson who would be delighted to see what you have got.

St Andrews will have a Holy Communion Service starting at 11am with Rev Neil Barker leading            . Also this Sunday, there will be a Lent Course session starting at 4-5pm in the Church.
