The W.I ladies thought that they were in for a disappointment when their speaker for last Thursday had to cancel because he had Covid!! Oh no you cry!! But our intrepid ladies, once that they had attended to the buisness end of the meeting, came up with an alternative plan, a games evening. The ladies set about enjoying a Beetle Drive – brilliant fun, with President Meg Brett coming out the eventual winner! The ladies will be traveling to Ringmore tonight for the 2022 group meeting of the local W.I’S. There will be a competition, the subject a commemoration of the late Queen Eliazabeth’s life, there will of course be refreshments too.                                                                                                                                           

St Andrews continues to have services every week at 11am, this weeks service will be a Holy Communion led by Rev Neil Barker, who will hopefully feel better after being unwell recently – hope you feel better soon Rev Neil! The church will be holding an alternative Halloween event, Festivalof Lights on October 31 ,every one is welcome, please book through the church website. Funcraft,sparklers and craft.                  

The A.G Film Fest is on this year after its enforced break due to Covid. The event will take placeon Saturday November 12th at 7.30pm in the village hall. There’s still time to enter your short film, about 5 minutes long, family viewing only please!! Entries please to ag.filmfest@gmail.com. There will be some awards; Most Popular, Best Childrens film, by audience vote, and a special judges award.
