Village Voice by Rosie Warrillow, 23rd May

Well spring is really sprung now and it’s great to report that some swans have been seen on the river with some babies, most welcome news to report!! Just a thought though, maybe we should all take a bit more care with our dogs this time of year, keep them on the lead around wildlife and sheep and other farm animals, they can become injured or distressed if harrassed by dogs.

There is still a vacancy on the Parish Council. If you think that you would be interested please contact the clerk on the village website. There’s no particular skills required, just a love of where you live in A.G and a will to help on all sorts of local projects etc. It’s rewarding and fun and you could help the local community. The next Parish Council meeting is on Thursday June 6th at 7.30pm in the village hall.

Our local churches will be very busy over the next few days with their Annual Meetings taking place in the next few days. Parishoners may attend the Annual Parishioners Meeting, where the next years Church officals will be chosen. This years meeting will be held jointly for St. Andrews with St Georges Modbury . Should be an interesting evening!

St Andrews will have a  Holy Communion service with kids club starting at 11am. All are welcome to attend and Sarah and Mary will be entertaining the youngsters. There will be refreshments after the service.
