Hard working Parish Councillor Peter Smith has been operating our Community Swimming Pool for nearly ten years now and he’s has decided to step back from this role after next year. His expertise has made for the smooth running of the pool since the parish council took over the running of it from the First Federation in 2015. There have been many improvements during this time to bring the pool up to standard so that the pool can be run as safely as possible. The Parish Council hopes to keep running the pool, partly for the school and partly for local residents during the summer holidays, with eight more years to run on the lease. But with Peter stepping back a new pool co-ordinator is needed, hopefully to run it with Peter over the next year.Training would be given and the necessary courses would be paid for by the P.C. Could this be you? Please contact Councillor Smith or the Parish Chair for more details.
There will be no service at St Andrews this Sunday as there is a Team service at Modbury starting at 10.30am and the little daughter of our Team Curate, Rev Ollie Long will be christened, how lovely! Normal service will resume at St Andrews next week with a Sunday Worship service on Sunday 5th November starting at 11am.
