St Andrews Church unfortunately has had to cancel the fete once again this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The good news is that there will be a Cream Tea afternoon this coming Sunday, September 5th starting at 3pm. Teas will be served from the village hall with yummy cakes and buns supplied by local volunteers. There will also be a children’s activity building a boat to float down the stream, so why not bring the family down to the Rectory Gardens on Sunday? There will also be an open-air service under the big marquee on the lawns at 4.30pm, all are invited to come and enjoy the music! There will be no service in church on this Sunday morning but there will be a Sunday worship service the follwing Sunday starting at 11am.                                      Â
With the great Tractor Run postponed until next spring there are still opportunities to support the team as they endeavour to raise funds for the county’s Air Ambulances. The Pit Stop Challenge will be held outside the pub on September 12th , which will involve teams tyre changing against the clock. Teams can be of either gender, and up to four people. Sounds like a load of fun to be had there! The Tractor Drive across Dartmoor will be held over the weekend of 18-19th of the month, when the tractor boys will drive to places like Widecombe and Okehampton to raise funds. Well done to everyone involved in this great effort, more details can be gathered from the pub or the local magazine. Quiz nights will also resume at the pub from September 16th, so get your thinking caps on!!                          Â
