Our own lovely lady, Helen Phillips will be offering another sound meditation in the village hall on Sunday September 8th from 7pm – 8.30pm. Come and relax to the sound of the beautiful Hang, Hardpans,Gongs and Tibetan Singing Bowls as they transport you to that peaceful place. If you have a yoga mat then bring it with you, some will be available on the evening and please feel free to bring other comfort items to make your relaxation easier, such as blankets and maybe a piece of sheepskin. There is no need to book, just turn up in good time for the meeting. There is no payment as such but a donation would be most welcome. Helen’s sessions have proved very popular and she now has sessions at Harbour House on Thursday September 5th 7.45-9pm, Tuesday September 10th ,7.30pm-9pm, East Prawle Community Hall, as well as her usual venue here in AG.             Â
Kingsbridge Jazz at Aveton Gifford will be holding September’s meeting down in the Jazz cellar at the Fishermans Rest. The very special musical guests will be Jeff and Annie Barnhart and their wonderful Hot and Sweet Quartet. These wonderful guests make it here to A.G every September whilst touring the major jazz festivals in this country. Jeff and Annie play some truly amazing jazz with some classical interludes from Annie’s magnificent flute. St Andrews will be holding a Sunday Worship service this Sunday with Michael Tagent leading.The servic will start at the usual time of 11am and everyone is welcome to attend, there will be refreshments after the service.
