The defibrillator at the Fishermans Rest has been re-located from its place by the top bar entrance to the new lower bar entrance. The old cabinet for it had begun to leak and the proprietors of the pub Mark and Athena Capewell have generously given permission for the new siting and the Parish Council have purchased the new cabinet. The move was necessary because of a power supply to the new cabinet which will be similar to the one already in place on the memorial hall, and it will enable a better environment for the equipment. Our community is now well covered in case of an emergency with plans for a third defibrillator to be installed at Icy Park.

Does anyone have good quality clothing that is no longer required? Bags2 school is a company that specializes in reusing and recycling of good quality clothing, and our primary school PTFA has arranged a collection day on Monday  February 7th. Donations can be brought to school on Friday 4th or before 9am on February 7th.. The company will pay for the clothing collected by weight, and this will enable funds to be raised for our school. Please contact the school for further details.

There was a wonderful Team Service in St Georges, Modbury, last Sunday which had members from all our churches enjoying fellowship with each other. The service was led by Rev Matt Rowland and there were readings and prayers from all the different churches. A choir consisting of all the different church congregations led the music, with Mrs Vanda Irish playing the organ. This week there is a Sunday Worship service starting at the usual time of 11am, in St Andrews. all are welcome to attend and there will be refreshments after the service.

The Parish Council will meet tonight at 7.30pm in the village hall, come along and hear all the news about the local projects, everyone is welcome to attend.
