Village Voice by Rosie Warrillow, 6th April

Oh dear there seems to be a crisis for our Parish Council at the moment. There are now three vacancies to be filled and now only six councillors remain  for our community. The village shop is now selling work by local artists; photographs by Jane Parrish; lovely acrylic pictures by Geoff Clements; and our own local lady Lolly Parker is displaying some of her wonderful pottery bowls and plates.There are lots of different syles to view and all to help the shop.                                 

Caroline Barker is running a Childrens Easter Workshop on April 11th  in the village hall.The workso involves the making of Easter Gardens and other crafts. All children of primary school age (5-11) are welcome to attend.You can contact Caroline on cbprints@btinternet.com                                  

St Andrews Church has a full range of services and activities for Easter. On Good Friday at 10.30am, outside the Fisherman’s Rest there will be the usual parade through the village, ‘The Way of the Cross’, when Palm Crosses will be distributed in the village and the Easter Cross errected. On Palm Sunday there will be the Palm Sunday walk through the village complete with a friendly donkey – many thanks to John and Maggie for loaning him – which will start at 10.30am. And on Easter Sunday there will be a Family Communion starting at 11am. Everyone is welcome to attend and there will be refreshments served after the service. On Sunday the church will have a Sunday Worship service starting at 11am .
