What a weekend we have all just had here in A.G.! The church and village Fete was a great success with people coming from all over the South Hams area to enjoy the atmosphere of the day. The childrens entertainer kept the little ones happy with lovely dance music and making balloon animals and playing games and even some magic tricks! The owls came too, six beautiful owls, all different sorts, some larger and some smaller, all beautiful and well cared for, just fancinating to see them . The pets corner had some beautiful bottle fed lambs and the stall holders were kept really busy serving the enthusiastic crowds. This years Fete was opened by Mrs Lolly Parker, rumoured to be A.G’s oldest resident, no I’m not putting a figure on it, but shes a lovely lady of whom we are very proud! The Hog Roast was a new addition this year and proved to be very popular, and tickets for the Grand Draw sold well too. There were some lovely cakes and cups of tea in the hall, a nice spot to relax and get refreshed. All this and a lovely wedding in St Andrews too, the Bride and Groom arrived safely but where were the bridesmaids? A nervous moment as the car couldn’t find the way to the church!! All was well in the end and the happy couple and their guests left for their reception, a story there for the future!                                                                                                                                                            Â
