Firstly thank you to the Gazette for the presentaion of the A.G article last week it looked great!
This week is Parish Council week and the meeting will take place in the hall at 7.30pm on Thursday 7th September. Please come and see what’s going on in and for our parish. There will be reports from the County and District councillors and news from around the different organisations, including the village shop. Hopefully this month there may be some news about new parish councillors taking up the reins,so fingers crossed!
The W.I will meet next week on Thursday September 14th and the speaker will be Pauline Carter who will be talking about the Celtic Harp, and also I believe will be playing some lovely music too. Visitors are welcome to attend after the club business has been attended to. The meeting will start at 7.30pm.                                                                                                                                                                    Â
The mobile library service will call in to A.G on Wednesday 20th of September from 9.30am-10.30am.Although it has been decided to discontinue this service, that decision is under review and the service will continue until October at least. Use it or lose is the message here!!                                              Â
With the summer virtually over, it will soon be time for the Harvest celebrations in A.G There will be a Harvest supper event on Friday September22nd starting at 7pm in the village hall. There will be a hog roast and the speaker will be Chris Murray from Pennywell Farm . To book please phone Caroline or Neil Barker on 01548-550730. St Andrews harvest service will take place on Sunday September 24th at the usual time of 11am, with childrens groups too. This Sunday St Andrews will have a lay led Sunday Worship Service starting at 11am, all are welcome to attend and there will be refrehments afterwards.   Â
