Village Voice by Rosie Warrillow 9th February

It seem that our Ukraine family is looking for a new place to live here in A.G. They were kindly lent a house in  the village but that arrangement will end soon. Is there anyone out there that has a house to rent here in A.G if possible, because 2 of the children are now settled in the local school. If you can help, please contact the famly through the village website or directly speak to them.

Knit and Knatter is now on Wednesday afternoons at 2.30pm. It’s a good chance to take a break from a busy schedule and just relax with some craft work and catch up with friends and enjoy some refreshments too. The meetings are held at the Fishermans Rest. Their quiz nights also take place in the pub on the third Thursday of each month. Either bring your own team of friends or come on your own and join in with  another team, the questions are general knowledge and there’s a £1.00 charge to enter.

St Andrews enjoyed a Sunday Worship service last Sunday led by the Benefice’s new Reader Gil Snook. The congrgation enjoyed singing some favourite hymns including the beautiful Morning has Broken, played by the church organist Mrs Vanda Irish. This week the church has another Sunday Worship service this time led by Reader Mrs Joyce Howitt, the service will start at the usual time of 11am and there will be refreshments served after the service, all are welcome to attend!

The  roadworks at Icy Park are still dribbling on in spite of supposing to be finished by now! Take Care round this area as it’s quite difficult with the road being so much narrower!
