The Lent course in A.G starts this week on Friday at 2.30pm at no 1 Tidal View. The course is part of the Benefice course Undiscovered Lent which has several venues locally. The course is hosted by Mrs Anne Fowler and will be led by Rev Neil Barker. Rev Neil has been unwell lately, hope you feel better soon Neil !!

Staying with our church, it’s with great sadness to report the sudden death of our church organist, Mrs Vanda Irish. Vanda played for many years not only here in A.G but across our team of churches. Vanda was also a keen golfer at Bigbury Golf club and a great Bridge player. She never missed a service and just knew so many hymns and songs, truly incredible! A hard act to follow and greatly missed within the congregation, Vanda’s funeral will be held in St Andrews at 2pm on Monday March 27th.  A minutes silence was held for vanda at last week’s Parish Council meeting.

At the Parish Council meeting people were reminded that a photo I.D will be needed to vote in the local elections this year. A driving license , or passport or any thing similar would be appropriate., the elections will take place in May.

There are details on the village website on how to find out when the new brown bin collections are going to take place near us. There is a link that will take you straight to the appropriatepage on the S.H.D.C website.
