Village Voice by Rosie Warrillow 9th November 2023

This Sunday is Remembrance Sunday and the village will pay it’s respects to the dead of two world wars at the War Memorial starting at 10.45am, Sunday 12th November. This years service will be led by our new Curate Rev Ollie Long and members of the Royal British Legion. The names of the fallen will be read in a moving tribute and the procession will be led into church by the churchwardens. The silence will be  observed and the last post sounded. Refreshments will be available after the service.

The A.G Christmas Gift Fair will also take place on Sunday bewtween 10am-4pm. There will be lots of gift ideas to inspire shopping mode, hopefully! There will be lots of stalls containing various delights and light refreshments will also be available and a raffle. Any money raised will go to the Kingsbridge Food Bank. The W. I  ladies will meet in the hall tonight(Thursday) at 7.30pm. The talk this month being Stargazing with Binoculars with Louise. Sounds interesting and the ladies are inviting guests to join them at 8pm, after the buisness of the meeting, maybe bring some bino’s too? All we need are some clear skies to enjoy the stars. Refreshments will be available after the talk. Our group is small in number and any new potential members are very welcome to come and sample the evening as a guest.
