Hi! Its great to be back after the Festive Break and I hope everyone had as good a time as possible considering all the restrictions!

Our shop is having a tough time recently but it will be open throughout January. The opening times are from 9am -4.30pm Monday to Friday and from 9-1pm on the weekends. The Post Office is open during weekdays but parcels and mail will not be accepted after 4pm. At weekends the Post Office services will only be available on Saturday from 9-1pm, but with no parcels being acepted after 11am. Please support our shop, its very important to our community, a lovely space to visit and it stocks a wide variety of goods.

St Andrews enjoyed the Christmas season with services both on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day which were well attended, within the restrictions of Covid. It was far from a normal time but the atmosphere was good and folk just enjoying being together to worship. This week our church will have a Holy Communion service with the Rev Matt Rowland and new ordinand Frances French. Frances has made a good beginning to her ministry and has made many friends already within the Mission Community and is enjoying sharing the lead in services. This weeks service will start at the usual time of 11am.

Over the New Year Devon unfortunately moved up into Tier 3 of the corona virus restricions. Some of these are; no mixing socially indoors or outdoors with people that don’t live with you; Everyone who can work from home should do so; You can meet up with family members outdoors in up to groups of six; Weddings and funerals can go ahead with number restrictions; stay local and keep safe; Holiday accommadation must close.More details can be found on the government websites, also on Devon County Councils website.

New Year? We can only hope that with the vaccine roll out, these things will soon be a thing of the past. Happy New Year everyone.
