We enjoying something of an Indian Summer as regards the weather of late but cooler times are not far away, not a pleasant thought! We do however have something to look forward to, as the Village Hall committee are going to bring back the very popular Soup and Puds lunches, to be enjoyed in the hall.Donations of soup and puds would be appreciated. The shop calendar is now on sale and available in the shop priced at £6.50. The Calendar contains the 12 winning shots from the recent competition and reflects the village life and scenery.
The Cricket Club AGM will take place on 28th October. Apart from the Presidency, all Committee posts are decided anually. The following posts will be available from 28th October; Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, treasurer, Membership Secretary, Fundraising and Social Activities, Club Captain and 2 other members.Whether you are a non-playing member or playing member please come along and support the AGM. Your votes are needed and it’s a good way of discussing the club’s future over a few drinks at the Fisherman’s Rest. The best way to get your views across is to come along and participate.
On October 17th, St Andrews Church will hold their Autumn Fair, from 2.30 pm. All the usual stalls will be there, White Elephant, cakes, plants and of course the raffle and refreshments, so please come along and have a good time and support our Church.
News from the allotments is that the fees for the next year are now due! Members should have received email confirmation of what to pay. Please contact David Guiver for further information
St Andrews has a service of Sunday Worship with Michael Tagent this week starting at 11 am, and then tea and coffee will be available after the service.
