Finishing the new play park has been delayed for a few days and so the opening ceremony will not take place just yet. The building company will try to get the rest of the equipment here during this week, and then hopefully, full play and having fun in the new park can begin soon after that. Once installed the new equipment will first have to go through a safety inspection. There will be regular updates on the village website/Facebook page, so please keep looking there.                                Â
The residents of Fore Street have formed an action group to try and do something about the traffic that speeds through the village main street. New signs have been installed and there are efforts in place to try and get Fore Street removed from sat nav routes, as large vehicles are being diverted through the village by this media. If you have to travel through the village, please observe the speed limits, and please be aware that pedestrians including children use the route on a regular basis.                                                                                                                                                                           Â
Questions have been asked about the old play park wood. Well at the moment there is no access to it, but after this month it will be made available for residents to for their own use. At the moment there are concrete blocks there and waste sand. It will be ok to burn as it doesn’t contain preservative. More information at a later date.                                                                                                                                        Â
