Village Voice by Rosie Warrillow, 24th May

St Andrews was the venue for a lovely wedding last Saturday when local girl Rebekah Townsend married her sweetheart Mr Mark Dixon.. The Bride entered the church to Pachelbels Canon in D, then the Vicar Rev Matt Rowland welcomed everyone. The first hymn was Give Me Joy in my heart. The marriage followed, the couple taking their vows in a packed church of relatives and friends. The Bride’s mother Sally Foster read the lesson from Phiippians 2 1-11, the second hymn followed, One More Step along the world I go. Then Chief Bridesmaid Rachel Townsend (Brides sister) read Here’s to you right now. Rev Matthew then gave an insipring sermon, followed by the prayers. The signing of the registers took place and the marriage was blessed by Rev Rowland, and the couple left the church to Handels Arrival of the Queen of Sheba..Many Congratulatios to Rebekah and Mark!
