Just a final reminder that the Children’s Craft Workshop will be taking place tomorrow at 4pm-545pm, finishing just in time to join in the Grand Christmas Lights Switch on. Caroline has all sorts of crafts such as making lanterns and Christmas decorations. At just £1 its jolly good value for primary age children, and there are still places available. The great switch on event will start at the village hall at 6pm tomorrow evening with people gathering at the hall to sing carols and parade down Fore St, eventually finishing up at the pub where the countdown will take place for the great Christmas Tree Lights switch on! With Carols duly sung around the tree, we move into the pub for traditional festive entertainment and yummy mince pies and mulled wine, so don’t miss out, come and support AGs start to the festive season!
Someone has left a walking stick in the shop! If you keep falling over, it must be yours! The shop does get all sorts of things handed in, its worth calling in if you have lost something as the shop is the natural place for stray items to be handed in.The shop is now taking orders for Christmas Food and order forms have been distributed around the parish. There are many goodies on offer this year and shop staff will be very pleased to help with any enquiries. The village wine is still selling well, just right for that festive tipple.
This months Soup and Puds has been moved to a new date because of a clash of events. This delightful and popular event will now take place on Saturday December 16th from 12.30pm -2.3pm. in the village hall. Delicious homemade soup and lovely puds will be on offer with tea and coffee also provided.As its the festive season, a festive glass off sherry will also be available and a raffle too, so come on down and enjoy!
There will be a competition for the best Christmas window in the parish during Christmas week, so get your thinking caps on and get ready to design your window. Everyone is eligible to enter and judging will take place during Christmas week.
