Village Voice by Rosie Warrillow – 23rd September

Following the work on the Village Green and the completion of the new pathways, Aveton Gifford Parish Council set about the task of planting some new snowdrop bulbs on Sunday. Some residents were upset over the moving of earth and lopping of trees on the green, so A.G’S Parish Councillors gave up a quiet Sunday afternoon to plant some extra bulbs. 1000 new snowdrops should be in bloom in the spring, something to look forward to during the long winter months.

Some exciting news has reached me ! There will be some new children’s dance classes starting this month in the village hall. From the 13th of September children can enjoy on Tuesdays Modern Freestyle Dance for age 5-11  starting at 3.50-4.35pm, and after that if they still have the energy, they can try out Acrobatic Dance from 4.40 till 5.25. For more information and to book a place please phone Faye on 07414484800 or email on faye@affinitydancesouthhams.co.uk.

Still with the hall, on Wednesdays at 3.30-6.30pm are children’s ballet classes.  Also  Zumba is also now available on Wednesdays at 6.45-7.45pm,  and Stephen Harding is running yoga classes again during the autumn, and they are available on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm.
