We seem to have had a real summer of love in A.G this year and to prove it there was another wedding in St Andrews last Saturday, when local girl Hannah Durrans married her sweetheart Paul in a glittering ceremony! The church was filled with family and friends all waiting with baited breath for the brides arrival. The choir was in place and the groom and best man were waiting nervously as the bride made her way into church, she looked stunning in a white full length white gown, with embroidered bodice and fur trim, the gown had a full skirt and she wore a single strand pearl necklace. The five bridesmaids wore full length lilac dresses and carried bouquets of white roses, and the bride’s bouquet was of pink, white and orange roses.
The first hymn was  “Lord of the Dance”, and the congregation then declared that they would support Paul and Hannah during their married life. The Marriage Service was conducted by Rev, Neil Barker and the bible reading from John 2 verses -11 followed. After Rev Barker’s address everybody’s favourite hymn, “All things bright and Beautiful” was sung. The intercessions were concluded with the Lords Prayer and blessing. During the signing of the register a recording of Israel Kamakawiwo’Ole’s Over the Rainbow was played, and the happy couple left the church to the wonderful “Signed, Sealed Delivered, I’m Yours” by Stevie Wonder. The couple and their guests then left for their reception at the Salcombe Harbour Hotel.
