Due to some printing mistakes by the Gazette last week I will start this week by listing the events for tomorrow, 1st December!!
At 4pm the Children’s Craft Workshop will be held in the village hall, £1 donation per child, please book to avoid disapointment.
This will be followed by the procession at 6pm, down Fore St, singing carols as we travel down to the pub. Once there, the Christmas Tree lights will be switched on and the gathering will then move inside for the seasonal entertainment by the Ukelele group and the village choir, the Handbell ringers will also take part. The good folk at the Fisherman’s are providing mulled wine and mince pies, everyone is welcome to come and join in with the festive fun!.
Our shop has lots of Christmas goodies in stock and available for order, spare order forms are available if you haven’t received one at home yet. All orders are to be placed by 14th December for collection at the shop, milk and bread can be pre-ordered too, to help over the Christmas period. Also our Post Office will now be open every day including Saturdays and Sundays. Peta is now officially our Post Mistress and is pleased to provide this extra service, very useful at this time of year. Cash can also be withdrawn at the weekends too.
There will be a Heart Start defibrillator training course to be held in the village hall on Thursday December 6th at 6pm . Please book with Parish Clerk Peter Javes on peter.javes@btinternet.com. She has worked on to help Peta in the Post Office, and has been an invaluable help to her, well done Dinah, you have served above and beyond the call of duty best wishes in your ‘real retirement.
