Village Voice by Rosie Warrillow – 5th November

It’s hard to believe that its November again and that winter is upon us once more but do not despair, AG’s annual Firework Display will cheer and excite this weekend. There will be delicious food organised by the Fisherman’s Rest at about 6.30pm with the firework display hopefully taking place at around 7.00pm. This is a very popular event and there is always a lovely high turnout, so come on down to the green and enjoy

Also on November 5th, there will be a coffee morning in aid of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, at the pub, starting at 10.30am. There will be various stalls, plus a delicious cake stall and a raffle. This event has become very important as a way of raising as much for the RBL as possible to support them in their vital work, its also a lot of fun!

There is also an event in the village hall too on November 5th. An Unwanted Art sale has been organised in aid of the Triangle Chemotherapy Centre in Kingsbridge Hospital. If you have any items you wish to sell, please take them along to the hall and state what you would like for them, leaving your contact details. 10% of the profits will go to the Triangle Centre. The event will take place from 10 am-4pm.

St Andrews has a Sunday Worship service this week with Michael Tagent leading. The service will start at 11am. Next Sunday is of course Remembrance Sunday and the Act of Remembrance will start at the War Memorial at 10.45, followed by a service in church. This year’s Act of Remembrance will be led by Michael Tagent.
