Tomorrow is our Church and Village Fete Day and before all that happens, help is needed in erecting the stalls etc to make the day perfect. If you can help please come to the Rectory Gardens tonight at 6pm and you will be put to work, many thanks in advance! The Fete itself has all the usual exciting stalls, white elephant, coconut shy, pony rides etc and of course some delicious cream teas will be available in the hall all afternoon. The opening will take place at 2pm, a little earlier than usual and we will have a local celebrity to perform the opening ceremony, can you guess who it is yet? Well come along to find out if you were right! The Ukelele Band will be playing during the afternoon and there will be a children’s entertainer too, all to add to the family feel of the event.
St Andrews has a special service this Sunday. An open air songs of praise will be held in the large marquee on the Rectory gardens. A similar service proved very popular last year, it’s an informal service and consists of hymns and songs chosen by the congregation. It will start at the usual time of 11am. Its also Sea Sunday and there will be at least one nautical song to give a real feel of the sea!
Our Village shop is looking for a new Saturday person, the hours are 7.30am-1pm and the duties are general shop assistant, with a need to serve customers and stock shelves and help the shop to run smoothly. If you think you could help please phone Dinah on 550996 or call in at the shop.

A former A.G resident is giving a series of talks at Dartington between July 7th-17th. Mr Alan Jenkins is now the Observers food magazine editor and used to live in Heron’s Reach on the Tidal Road during the 1960,s.The talks are being organised by Ways With Words .
Our Cricketers are going to be busy during July and their next match is on the 16th at Ermington, the game starting at 2pm. Please go and support them if you can, they do such a good job as ambassadors for our community.
