South Hams Art Forum are holding a Present Maker Exhibition at Harbour House in Kingsbridge from November 29th-December 18th and local ceramics artist Sue Luker will be exhibiting her lovely Raku Pottery work there. The exhition will be open from 10am-5pm with Sunday opening from 11am-3pm. There will be a wonderful choice on display and its well worth the visit.                                 

The Village Shop now has lots of new stock including a lovely selection of seasonal goods including all you will need for the all important Christmas baking. The shelves are well stacked and the freezers are stuffed full of wonderful goods and there’s lots of chocolates too and not forgetting yummy mince pies, please support your local shop, there’s the Post Office counter and it’s an Amazon hub too.                       

Its been Road Safety Week and it acts as a reminder really of taking care when on our roads. Looking out for pedestrians and livestock that maybe wandering onto the roads, especially on moorland routes.There is a need to watch out around here too especially on the Tidal Road where vehicles can come close to other road users such as horses and cycles, please rember that not only cars use our roads

                        Ag Filmfest had a wonderful evening on it’s comeback year. The films were of an amazingly high quality and quite charming. Childrens film winner was Bill Tuckett and was entitled Into the Ocean which chronicled the journeys of explorer Ernest Shackelton using a certain make of bricks! The adult winner was Pippa Unwin showcasing her Incredible Journey with her dog Bonny, raisng funds for charity. The Judges prize went to Wat Kirby and was entitled Expanded Seascape condensing several minutes watching time into just one minute to able the viewer to see the light changes,sea movements and to enjoy the experince in a condensed way.All of the films can be viewed on the community website. 

Our young fundraiser for Children in Need, Sam, has had a mention on the famous BBC programme. He was mentioned early on in the evening, hope he was able to catch that, once again well done Sam!!                                                                                                                                                                                

Caroline Barker is once again holding a Christmas Craft workshop for children aged 5-11, in the village hall on Saturday December 3rd from 4.30pm-6pm, booking is essential so please contact Caroline at her home in Stonecot,opposite the village shop.                                                                                  

St Andrews will have a Holy Communion service this Sunday starting at the usual time of 11am,with Rev Matt Rowland leading , all are welcome and it’s Kids Club too this week. There will be refreshments after the service.
