Our W.I ladies have an event in the village hall this Saturday October 14th in the village hall.. It’s a Swap Shop coffee morning, and people can bring things they don’t need anymore and either swap it for something else, or sell it, or perhaps even give it away. There will be no charge for tables but a donation towards the W.I’s expenses for the day would be most welcome. There will be refreshments and also a raffle too. This is a new type of event for the ladies and it sounds like fun, so please support them. The monthly meeting will be held this week too on Thursday evening starting at 7.30pm, guests are welcome for a small entrance fee. This months talk is called “From Prositutes to Prime Ministers”……….., intrigued? Why not come along. The speaker is Margaret Parker.Â
St Andrews churchyard has an interesting problem, people have been dumping dead flowers in the bin in the toilet! The church does not have a bin collection, it’s all done by volunteers, there is an appropriate notice on the door outlining this, but still people leave rubbish like this behind. Can people please take any old flowers and celophane packaging home with them after visiting their graves? Thank you.                                                                                                                                                    Â
