The parish council has just received a warning from the Met Office:
Unsettled weather is forecast for the next few days. There will be heavy rain and strong winds on Wednesday, especially during the afternoon and evening. The winds may reach gale force, perhaps up to 70mph, and the heavy bursts of rain may cause localised flooding. There is a risk of traffic disruption.
The winds will die down and there will be a period of rain interspersed with sunny spells until Friday when wet and windy weather is expected to reach the area. Later on Friday and through Saturday heavy rain may cause minor flooding again, but the winds are not expected to be as strong as on Wednesday.
We have just set up a new FLOODING IN AG page on this website which can now give instant access to the latest information on both Met Office and Environment Agency websites – you will find it in the LOCAL INFO section of the menu above.
