WOW! Just WOW!
The children of Aveton Gifford Pre-School (The Hive) have raised £1,000 over the summer holidays by taking part in our Summer 30 Challenge!
For those who don’t know what this is, we asked children who attend the pre-school to do something linked to the number 30 ahead of this academic year, which will be The Hive’s 30th birthday.
Bill walked 30 miles, Beth baked 30 cup cakes, Evie read 30 books, Arthur cycled 30km, Anila swam 30 metres and Ivy and Torin swam and cycled, respectively, once a day for 30 days. I’m sure there are other fantastic achievements by some of the other pre-schoolers out there too, so please do let us know about them.
This academic year, the volunteer, parent-led committee that oversees The Hive will be working even harder than usual to raise vital funds for the pre-school and we’re going to need your help.
We’ll be making some announcements soon about how we intend to raise money throughout this academic year given many of our usual fundraising events might not be able to take place due to the ongoing coronavirus restrictions.
